Pintxo Tapas, Wine and Cocktail Bar

I had been waiting weeks to visit the newly re-branded Pintxo by Valdemar; I love Tapas (not to mention wine and cocktails!). This Tapas, wine, and cocktail bar began as the Woodinville tasting room of Valdemar Estates. It has now been transformed into a beautiful Tapas restaurant and bar, perfect for dinner or date night.

The first of order to arrive was Patatas Brava. They have a bit of a kick to them, and a ton of smokey, peppery flavor. The dipping sauce was a mixture of smoked yogurt, pimenton and chives with a sprinkle of smoked paprika.

crab stuffed piquillo peppers

These are Dungeness crab stuffed piquillo peppers on toasts with a Beurre Blanc sauce. These were not too spicy and the flavor was incredible.

I had to try the charred octopus, which is served on a bed of chorizo aioli and herbed breadcrumbs.

Basque cheesecake

This Basque cheesecake was such a lovely surprise! It is a light, fluffy, and slightly savory version of traditional cheesecake and was delicious paired with Valdemar’s 2012 Grand Reserva. I loved this dessert!

Pintxo (pronounced peen-cho) Tapas Bar offers a chic and inviting atmosphere with small plates, wine, and cocktails. Located in the Hollywood Schoolhouse District in downtown Woodinville, this is a lively experience that we enjoyed so much. Open Wednesday – Friday from 4-9 pm and Saturday – Sunday from 12-9.
