Raise your hand if you’re tired of cooking for yourself and your family at home! (Handraise!) Take a look at three options for treating yourself to a gourmet meal from Woodinville chefs this month. Order online, pick up the meal, take it home, re-heat using the chef-provided instructions, and enjoy with local Washington wine.

This week through January 17, the legendary Herbfarm restaurant here in Woodinville is offering their “Truffle Hunter” menu. This menu celebrates the famed native truffles from the Pacific Northwest. Besides a game pie, the menu features winter vegetables, an optional supplement of truffles for them; a winter bitter greens salad; bread and butter; bouillon and chive dumplings; and of course a fabulous dessert and some boxed truffles. You can pick up your take-home meal or have it delivered for a small fee.

Jen is treating her boyfriend James to this meal for their Date Night on Friday (shh, don’t spoil the surprise for him).

Next week’s menu for gourmet take-home dinners from Woodinville’s Chef Anne Marie lets you choose ahead of time between two fabulous option for most of the four-courses. You choose to start with lemon feta spread with spiced olives and crackers or roasted pineapple and cornbread muffins; you enjoy a winter greens salad with vinaigrette on the side; next you have the agonizing decision between chicken thighs stuffed with cheese and herbs in a cream sauce or smoked salmon quinoa with roasted veggies; and for your dessert course, would you prefer a pecan crusted lemon tartlet or a pecan crusted chocolate tartlet?

Chef Anne Marie’s website is super easy to order from, and she makes every effort to accommodate keto, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free diet preferences.

Pre-order by January 14.

DeLille Cellars via A Platinum Event Catering offers a weekly Date Night take-out menu. To enjoy this week’s menu offerings, you must place your order before noon on Thursday January 7. You’ll then pick up your meal and the wines you selected to accompany it, on Friday or Saturday between 1 pm and 4 pm.

This week’s menu features French-inspired fare including a ricotta ravioli starter (with chorizo), winter vegetable ratatouille, rosemary and black garlic baby potatoes (ooh!) French Chicken Breast Coq au Vin. I’ll let you go find out for yourself what fantastic desserts are included!

Happy dining,

-Carrie
