We were thrilled to visit Davenport Cellars during their 15th Annual St. Nick’s event that was held recently!

Holiday snowflakes hang outside of Davenport’s tasting room, located in Woodinville’s Warehouse District. There was no shortage of parking options for us, even on a busy day!

The $10 tasting fee is waived with your purchase of a bottle of delicious wine.  Shown here are two half bottles, which I think would be a great gift basket idea during the holidays.

I was thrilled to learn that Davenport Cellars offers small plates, including salads, flatbreads and sandwiches. They are the only tasting room within the warehouse district offering a complete menu.  We arrived with an appetite, and were grateful for the many food choices. Pictured here is the Caprese Flatbread – delicious!

Our tastebuds were delighted as we began our afternoon wine tasting with Davenport’s 2015 Fume Blanc. Winemakers Jeff and Sheila Jirka sourced this 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Bacchus Vineyard. This crisp, balanced white wine is aged using French oak barrels to add complexity.

You will find ample seating within Davenport Cellars, and the space is ideal for party rentals.  For more information on booking the kid and dog friendly space, you can contact them via email.

Join the wine Discovery Wine Club, which offers a three, six and twelve bottle option, each delivered three times per year.

Oak barrels flank comfy leather seating that invites guests to relax and stay for awhile. Our service was incredibly friendly and informative.

Shown here is the 2011 Continuity, a delightful Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc blend that held a plum and cherry aroma, with a smooth finish.

The tasting room is currently featuring artwork by Seattle based artist Monica Arche.

The current wine tasting lineup of Bordeaux style red blends, Fume Blanc and Semillon. My favorite was the 2011 R.H.D..  I brought home two bottles of this delicious red blend home with me.

Owner and Winemaker Sheila is pictured here with wine expert Nancy, behind the tasting counter.  These ladies were most helpful and gave us lots of one on one attention.  We were even given the opportunity to taste their 2016 Orange Muscat, which I particularly loved.

Add Davenport Cellars to the top of your list of Woodinville Wineries to visit this year.  You will love the friendly atmosphere of this bistro style tasting room.  They are open Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am-5pm or by appointment .  Call (425) 457-4957 if you would like to set a date for a large group.

They are located within the warehouse district at:

19495 144th Ave NE
Suite A160
Woodinville, WA 98072

Happy Holidays! ~ Jen
